Google knowledge graph to redefine the Google search

After the introduction of Google Panda and reaping its rich dividends, Google has arrived with another set of promising search innovation. Termed as “Knowledge Graph”, the new measures suggested by Google to provide a better search option are based on semantic web. Under the new scheme, Google seeks advice from a visitor about various intents related to his texted keyword. As a keyword can have variable meanings, therefore, under “Knowledge Graph” a visitor can expect exact search results he is looking for.

Broadly, Google is migrating from the simple keyword recognition to the identification of entities, nodes and relationships. For example, “Indian” can mean a citizen of Asian country India, red Indians in South America and other such related meanings. With knowledge graph you will be able to identify the exact search phrase for you. To achieve this massive and tedious task of providing better search options to its user’s google is using exploring through variety of knowledge databases, Wikipedia, Google Local, Google Maps and Google Shopping.

At present Google’s Knowledge Graph has a database of about 500 million people, places and things with about 3.5 billion attributes related to them. The impact of this update will be of grave consequence with inclusion of Google Images, videos, news and books into a knowledge graph.

The searches in this new arrangement will be provided with further summaries for the searched items and things. The search results are further co-related to initial search results. This development will help you to dig deeper into a search on the related topics. However, it is interesting to note that how this search will also impact overall Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for a website and Google+ results.
