What does it mean by being 500 million Facebook users?

Once again Facebook has added a new feather to its head as it has now 500 million users globally and the exceptional growth track was witnessed during last six months where it added around 100 million users into its database.  So what does this mean for an internet marketer or enthusiasts who do activities online? First of all with this 500 millonth user social media along with Facebook has come up very long way, when it somehow started back in 2000 with 2.0 and wikipedia concept.  With introduction of Web 3.0 what we are looking at in form of Facebook where AOI and cloud computing is a norm to carry away things and daily communication patterns between users without any hindrance or difficulty this technology is being used by everyone who is on the Facebook.

The next important thing with these Facebook numbers is a well prepared, illiterate and educated database of people that can be worked at and for many objectives whether they are business and promotional activities or they are meant for any social activity related to charity and NPO objectives. Facebook's impact on the American political system became evident in January 2008, shortly before the New Hampshire primary, when Facebook teamed up with ABC and Saint Anselm College to allow users to give live feedback about the "back to back" January 5 Republican and Democratic debates. Facebook there emerged as a powerful medium for voice reaction and other such rhetoric’s for unanimous cause.

So here it can be concluded that Facebook on the surface is a socially acceptable networking site now for everyone to share experience and meet with new friends and associates. Though there are some privacy issues that Facebook would also handle by some mean and ideas.
